Playing fair

These terms are the agreement between you and Glowspur Studio ("we", "us") when you play our games, including Swapglow (the Android app and the web version at swapglow.glowspur.com), or use this website. By playing, you agree to them. How we handle your information is in our separate privacy policy.

In short: the game is yours to play for fun. Coins and other things in it are part of the game, not money. Purchases go through Google Play, and so do refunds. Play fairly, and don't try to break or copy the game. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you where you live.

Who can play

Swapglow is for players aged 13 and up. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, please get a parent or guardian's OK before buying anything.

What you may do

We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to play our games for your own enjoyment. The games, their art, music, characters and code belong to Glowspur Studio or the people who licensed them to us (some are credited inside the game). Please don't copy, sell, rent or redistribute them, take them apart to make another game, or remove notices from them, except where the law allows it anyway.

Coins, boosters and other in-game items

Coins, boosters, lives, stickers, pet items and everything else you earn or buy in the game are a licence to use them in the game. They have no value outside it, can't be exchanged for real money, and can't be sold or transferred to anyone else.
Your progress and items are stored on your device. If you clear the game's data or uninstall it without first saving your backup code (on the About screen), we can't bring them back, because we never had a copy.
We may rebalance the game over time, for example how many coins a reward gives or what a booster costs. We won't take away coins you've bought.

Purchases

The Android app sells coins, a one-time starter pack and Glow Club. Each shows exactly what it gives and its price before you buy; nothing is random. The web version sells nothing.
Payments are made to, and handled by, Google Play, under the Google Play terms. Prices are the ones Google Play shows you, including any tax.
Refunds are handled by Google Play, under its refund policies. If something you bought didn't arrive or doesn't work, write to us at hello@glowspur.com and we'll help put it right.
Glow Club is a one-time purchase that lasts. If you reinstall the app or move to a new phone, get it back with Restore purchases in Settings, using the same Google account. Coins and the starter pack are delivered once and used up: they come back only with your backup code.

Adverts

The Android app can show an advert only when you choose to watch one for a reward. The adverts come from Google AdMob; we don't make them, and we're not responsible for what other companies advertise. If a reward doesn't arrive after a full advert, tell us.

Leaderboards and friend challenges

Names on the daily leaderboard and in friend challenges are made up by the game, so nobody can write anything there.
Play fairly: don't use bots, modified versions of the game or tricks against our servers to get scores or rewards. The leaderboard checks every score by replaying it, and we may remove scores, handles or challenges that we believe break these rules.
Don't try to overload, break into or interfere with our servers or websites.

Changes and availability

We keep improving our games, so features, levels and rewards can change. The leaderboard, friend challenges and other online parts need our servers and an internet connection; we try to keep them running, but they may sometimes be down, and we may end an online feature, in which case we'll say so in the game or on this site first where we can.

Our responsibility

We make our games with care, but we provide them "as is", without promises that they will always be free of bugs or available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for more than what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Some places don't allow these limits; where they don't, they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be given up by agreement.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Playing after a change means you accept it.
